Shawn Johnson deserves the Dancing With the Stars trophy. She worked hard for it and she really is a great dancer. Additionally, as compared to the other two contenders, she is a star.
People voted for Shawn because they love her and believe in her. She is just the epitome of America's sweetheart. She can be anyone's favorite. A sell-out to children, teens, and grown-ups. She is wholesome, clean, refreshing.
Earlier in this blog, I voiced out my support for Shawn and she did it. I'm so happy for the outcome of Dancing With the Stars -- the first season I ever watched the entirety of. It was great.
About TVmomma:
I have called TV as my amusement park -- right in my own home. But now, things have changed and my TV viewing has been limited. I still post on this blog but only when I felt so strongly about what I've seen, and when I have the time.

Shawn Won the Dance!

Li'l Kim
I'm beginning to like Li'l Kim because I can see that she is competing in Dancing With the Stars with the right reason and the right attitude. She just wants to get the job done-- learn the dance and do all her best. She did not come to Dancing With the Stars with the diva attitude. She is just there to compete. And she treats her professional dance partner well.
The thing is, there are other celebrities who are competing (or had competed) that do not have the right attitude. Of course, dancing will not be in their comfort zone because that is not their line or profession. But being there with the right frame of thinking can really make a whole lot of difference.

Shawn is my Favorite
Shawn Johnson is my favorite in Dancing with the Stars. Compared to the women dancers on the show-- the professionals or the "stars", Shawn does not look the part with her rather stocky figure, But when she dances, she's all grace and finesse. I get mesmerized by her.
I know she puts her heart in every move and that's what makes her special. Her years of training in gymnastics has honed her to be focused, attentive to detail, balanced, and graceful under pressure. And of course, her smile is always there.
And the judges agree: 9-9-9.

My TV Crisis
Last night, it was a hop between Dancing With the Stars and American Idol, with occasional sneak at the USA vs Puerto Rico World Classic baseball game. It was crazy.
Of course, we missed song renditions, dance numbers, most home runs. But what can we do? It was a dilemma of television programs clashing with time.
Last week, I happen to catch the first episode of the season of Dancing With the Stars so I watched and got involved. I got to have favorites by the time I watched again Monday night. American Idol, I've been watching since January. My husband is a baseball fanatic and he saw Cubs players in the team USA so he really wanted to see the game.
So the crisis went. I'm just glad I did not miss my favorites' presentations in both shows though. I know there will be more nights like this for the coming weeks -- that's eight weeks.

Brooke Burke's Win
It is by accident that I tuned on ABC to watch the finale of Dancing With the Stars. It was my first time to watch Brooke Burke dance and I was captivated by her. She truly deserves to win.
I first saw Brooke Burke on the E! Channel as a reporter or host -- whatever she was called -- back in the 90s. She was younger then and she really looked hot. She was even more beautiful than the celebrities she was interviewing. Even now, she really looks fantastic and a very regal, very classy dancer.
This season of Dancing With the Stars, I watched only a total of three shows. I heard they had ten weeks but it seems to me that it took them forever to finish the season. Maybe because the competitors are celebrities and they have obligations to attend to? Maybe it is the presidential election? I know there were lots of replays shown in between.

Dancing with the Stars
I admit that I'm not a Dancing with the Stars regular but I acknowledge that this show brings excitement to the rather humdrum TV season. There is just nothing on TV nowadays except for the ball games. The playoffs for the baseball is coming and the NFL is on it's third week. So is the college football. There are no grand slam tennis or American Idol until January so for me, the television is not really that exciting.
The star of Dancing with the Stars is Kim Kardashi. If I have to watch it, then it is she who I will be watching. Don't you agree? She is such an interesting person.

Dancing With The Stars
I tuned in to ABC last night to watch Dancing With The Stars. I did not really gave it my full attention because it was supper time and in between preparing the meal, eating it, and cleaning up, may be it just got 10% of my attention before turning the channel to Noggin.
Dancing With The Stars does not draw excitement in me. It was a parade of celebrities -- mostly people I haven't seen or known of but am sure are "stars" in their own right. I am not a dance enthusiast so that would explain my mild reaction to the show. But then I followed last year's So You Think You Can Dance with much glee and anticipation.
I was really impressed to see Priscilla Presley looking very young, like my age at mid 30s. She has found the fountain of youth.
I have no favorite in the show but I would wathc the results show just to know who gets voted out.
