The Roloff Children Are Growing Up

Christmas day was a marathon for Little People, Big World on TLC. It amuses me to see Jeremy, and even Molly, growing up so tall, beyond the normal height of teenagers their ages, when their Mom and Dad, and brother Jeremy are dwarves.

It's always fun watching Little People, Big World. From time to time, I get points from Amy on parenting. I have no children yet as old as the Roloff kids but I'm sure there will be a time when what I see on the show regardng parenting will be handy. It's always exciting to be a parent and to parent knowing that there's a clear line between the two,

TLC's three Big New Epsiodes

Tonight, starting at 8 PM, TLC will air three new episodes back-to-back, Little People, Big World, Jon & kate Plus 8, and the Duggars called 17 Kids and Counting.

Little People, Big World - I have been watching the marathon this weekend realizing that I've missed a lot of episodes. They were building a bigger house and the kids are older looking. I think the new episode will be called Little People, Bigger World.

Jon & kate Plus 8 - I'm tired watching the reruns and glad that they have new episodes. It's interesting to see the kids who would be bigger by now and watch all the growing pains, troubles, and happiness the whole family is going through.

17 Kids and Counting - I always love the Duggars since I saw their first show. I think they just have 14 kids then. Now, they are going to be 18. What a family. It's my opinion that Michelle and Jim Bob are really trying to have many children as much and as long as they can.

The Duggars have always fascinated me. The children are healthy, well-disciplined, and no one whas a genetic illness which is common to a big family. I admire the parenting method of Michelle and Jim Bob.

Peculiar Difference

It's neat to watch the Roloffs again. I watched the two episodes Sunday night and was glad that Matt is not convicted of DUI. And Amy is looking great, too.

Little People, Big World is just one of my favorite shows. I like them a lot because they live good (sometimes better) despite their physical difference. And in the end, the "difference" does not matter at all. We are all but human beings who have unique qualities and must succumb to the ways and rules of life.

It was Joyce Meyer where I heard that whatever your peculiar difference is -- most often something in you that you don't like and does not fit with the norm -- you should turn into your advantage. And I think what she said is true. Your uniqueness is your gift. Why? Because this is what people remember about you. Instead of thinking it as a liability, make it your asset. Don't hide it but amplify it, and use it to help people.

I guess this is what the Roloffs are doing by sharing their story.
