Christmas day was a marathon for Little People, Big World on TLC. It amuses me to see Jeremy, and even Molly, growing up so tall, beyond the normal height of teenagers their ages, when their Mom and Dad, and brother Jeremy are dwarves.
It's always fun watching Little People, Big World. From time to time, I get points from Amy on parenting. I have no children yet as old as the Roloff kids but I'm sure there will be a time when what I see on the show regardng parenting will be handy. It's always exciting to be a parent and to parent knowing that there's a clear line between the two,
About TVmomma:
I have called TV as my amusement park -- right in my own home. But now, things have changed and my TV viewing has been limited. I still post on this blog but only when I felt so strongly about what I've seen, and when I have the time.

The Roloff Children Are Growing Up
Disney Christmas Day Parade
The two-hour long Walt Disney World Christmas Day Parade was aired on ABC. I watched it and it was okay, nothing had changed from the previous years. Spectacular it was but there was nothing new to see.
Regis and Kelly hosted it and everything they said was read. It's so different from when you watch them in their morning show when they are spontaneous and could say what comes up in their minds. I bet even their expressions and exclamations were all scripted.
Disney tried to make it an all-star spectacle with famous and not-so-famous performers. Sarah Brightman sang Oh Holy Night. Ms. Brightman is one of my favorite singers of all time and she did make a perfect rendition of the traditional well-loved Christmas song. My only comment is that she wore heavy makeup despite that it daylight.
Thinking of it, the Disney parade made me want to spend Christmas in Orlando. Why not? It may not be as exciting as when you watch it on TV but I'm sure it would be if you were there to see it in person. Maybe next year.

18th Child for the Duggars
I watched last night's Duggars show. It was an hour-long and I got bored especially during the prenatal exercise. Anyway, I did watched the whole reality show ending with Michelle giving birth to her 18th baby through C-section. I like the name-- Jordyn-Grace Makiya. The middle name is new to me.
If I was Michelle Duggar, I would be frightened to give birth that many. I would fear for my health. I would not think my womb can carry such many babies to term. But Michelle is not me. As her doctor said, she is healthy for her age. My sincere admiration to her. I hope she did have a speedy recovery.
I don't know when Michelle gave birth. As shown on TV, it is not cold or snowing yet where they are. May have been taped a while back. I believe they live in Arkansas.

Giant Delight
I stayed up late last night watching the New York Giants and the Carolina Panthers. And it was one of the best matches of the season. I was so happy when Eli Manning, quarterback for the Giants did the two-point conversion to tie the Panthers score of 28. I tried not to scream because it was around 11:00 PM and my 21-month old baby was snuggled in my arms comfortably sleeping as I sat on the rocking chair.
I lingered on the elation that I felt. I even thank God for giving me a moment to be happy. People may think this is very shallow and that it takes so little to make me happy. But the thing is, there have been little happiness all around me lately that I want to snatch as much as I can from the delight I had on watching the two-point conversion that led to the tiebreak.
And my night ended really great because the Giants won. I saw that Jacobs (I'm not sure of his name) who did the winning touchdown was in tears during the after-game interview. I felt his joy and I appreaciate how this football team has made thousands of people happy last night. That includes me.

Giants vs Cowboys
I watched Sunday night football last night between the New York Giants and the Dallas Cowboys. Good game. I'm happy for the Cowboys because they won in their territory. Giants are still untouchable even if they lost because they have the division lead.
I just noticed that both quarterbacks look angelish. Romo and Manning look like the good guys. They look nice, gentle, and fragile -- all the elements that you will see in the leading man if you have to watch a football movie. But it was not a movie last night, it was the real thing. Both are excellent quarterbacks but Manning has an NFL championship to his name.
With the Cowboys win, they have a chance at a wildcard spot. The playoff is going to be real interesting.

Ads
Watching football last Sunday, my attention was caught by this announcement:
"The Visa Halftime Report is brought to you by Visa."
Duh, would Mastercard sponsor a Visa Haltime Report or Visa sponsor a Mastercard Halftime Report?
But as I thought of it, maybe Visa wants its name to be mentioned twice so the redundancy is kind of intended.
By the way, I was impressed with Visa coming up with "Life takes Visa" slogan. It was indeed a good response to Mastercard's "There are many things money can't buy; for everything else, there's Mastercard." For a year or so, Mastercard had this ad while Visa had nothing to advertise on this line. Then comes the life takes visa ad on tv. It was good.
I'm sure Visa paid tons of money for the team of advertising people who wittily came up with something as smart as Mastercard's mantra.
